As we march towards the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, Americans are also stumbling towards another momentous occasion. Love him, hate him, or you don't really like him and just didn't want to vote for the other guy, Joe Biden's shaping up to be the next president. But before that the guy definitely had a political resume–notably serving as a Delaware senator from 1973-2009 and later as the vice president under the Obama administration from 2009-2017. If you do the math on his Senate work, that means Biden was reelected 6 times–breaking his streak because he was going to be vice president at the time.

For those who might not remember as far back as 2008, Biden tried to run for president. It didn't go so well, as evidenced by the fact that he was, you know, not elected president for that term. But it did help bolster his reputation and solidify his place on the political map with a stronger appeal to the working-class voter. Biden also tried in 1988, doing a lot better than his 2008 campaign–he was actually considered quite promising. But that would end poorly after some speech plagiarism shenanigans and speaking in extreme hyperbole (IE false) in regards to his personal life.
